I am a Designated Linklater Teacher and Colaianni Phonetics Practitioner with over a decade of experience teaching voice, speech and phonetics for actors and professionals, mostly in New York City. While much of my work has been with actors and in universities, many of my individual clients have been non-native English speakers with a sincere and urgent need to be clearly understood - and listened to.
I've been on the faculty at institutions such as New York University, Fordham University, the Actors Studio Drama School in NYC and Kadir Has University in Istanbul, and was Head of Voice & Speech at a private conservatory in New York. I have coached and performed in the professional theater, tv & film industries, and worked with clients such as the World Bank, IQS Tech Fest, Startup Bootcamp Barcelona and IESE Business School. My background is theater and English teaching; I was trained as an actor at the Experimental Theatre Wing at Tisch School of the Arts and took a crash course in English teaching as a young 20-something in Spain.
I have passionately pursued articulate speaking from the heart both personally and professionally ever since.
